Mike Fleischmann

Michael Fleischmann (Mike) attended the University of Arizona where he received a bachelor’s in accounting and finance.  Mike is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  He began his career in public service in 2001 and later became a Special Agent in 2005.  Mike has been assigned to multiple federal task forces and working groups and has had the opportunity to investigate cases of national and international significance to include money laundering, cyber, public corruption, international, tax, and drug investigations.  Mike has testified during criminal trials, been recognized with numerous awards, and was featured in a Netflix documentary, Web of Make Believe, for his work.  At his agency, Mike was a member of Global Illicit Financial Team (GIFT) and was also selected as a founding member of the Washington DC Cyber Crime Unit.  In 2019, Mike was named the acting Cyber Attaché for his agency and in 2020, Mike became a Supervisory Special Agent, where he supervised a group of Special Agents.  During his time as a Supervisory Special Agent, Mike was asked to be the Acting Assistant Special Agent in Charge and did so for 7 months, overseeing approximately 40 Special Agents in Arizona and New Mexico.  On a personal note, Mike has two girls, ages 8 and 13, who keep him on his toes.
